Jackie Grossart, Founder & Lead Teacher
Founder’s journey
I am Jackie Grossart, the founder of Together Mindful. My professional journey spans over three decades in the education sector, where I worked as a teacher, researcher and manager.
In 2023, my husband was diagnosed with a terminal illness and sadly passed away less than a year later. This profound and life-changing experience prompted me to thoroughly reconsider my priorities and perspective on life.
It became clear to me that, with the pace and demands of my working life, I rarely paused to notice the beauty that was already there. Looking back, I recognised that I had often overlooked moments of happiness and failed to appreciate the good that was already around me.
I chose to step away from my career and undertake training to become a mindfulness teacher. My work is rooted in supporting mental wellbeing — helping people meet life’s pressures with greater steadiness, self-awareness and compassion. I’ve worked with individuals and groups across a range of settings, and I’m passionate about making mindfulness practical, evidence-informed and accessible.
Why I teach mindfulness
I teach mindfulness because I’ve seen how small, consistent practice can make a real difference — reducing stress, strengthening resilience and improving the way we relate to ourselves and others.
In today’s busy world, stress and overwhelm can easily become part of daily life, and it’s not always obvious how to step out of autopilot. My aim is to offer a supportive space where people can slow down, reconnect with what matters, and build skills they can use in everyday life.
To make mindfulness accessible — supporting people from all walks of life to integrate it into their daily routines, workplaces and communities
Accessible
For the public, businesses, charities, academic organisations, medical professionals and therapists — no prior experience needed.
Integrated
Practical techniques designed to fit into daily routines, workplaces and community life — not sit apart from them.
Evidence-informed
Rooted in MBSR, MBCT and trauma-informed practice — to foster improved mental wellbeing and resilience across society.
